Connection Without Sight
Don’t judge a book by its cover.
More often than not, we rely on our sight to judge another person. We analyse another person based on their looks, clothes and body language. Many of us have lost touch with our emotions and instincts, primal senses that give us important information to get to know another person. The society that we grew up in championed analytical and logical thought.
What did the other person say? Why did they say it? Why didn’t they say anything?
We seek the answers through analysis, when that’s only one part of the equation. Using our emotions and instincts, we can feel and connect deeply with another person. We get to know them for who they are inside, not what they want to portray on the outside.
In Connection Without Sight, Hunny blindfolded two strangers and sat them back to back in a studio. Removing their blindfolds, all they can see is a blind canvas in front of them. They would get to know each other through a set of guiding questions, designed to help them get in touch with their emotions and instincts better. The questions also helped them to go deeper within themselves. While getting to know each other, they would attempt to paint the essence of the other person onto the canvas.
